HVAC Maintenance Tech POSITION SUMMARY Provides basic level skills in the maintenance repair installation and servicing of residential HVAC systems that are covered under warranty. Maintains good customer relations by responding to customer service needs performing preventive maintenance functions and providing options for better efficiency and performance ESSENTIAL DUTIES. Responds to emergencies and or service calls drives to site greets customer and troubleshoots malfunctioning systems equipment to determine the nature of the problem. Locates and diagnoses problems assesses extent of repairs and describes options to the customer with associated costs for problems not covered under warranty. Provides a description of diagnosed problems to customer in terms that can be understood with options as possible. Coordinates service needs with warranty representatives for authorization. Communicates with manager or supervisor regarding changes problems or policy discrepancies. Obtains customer approval for repair and corrects problems. Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent equipment failure by cleaning air handling systems and reheat coils monitoring and calibrating air handling systems and replacing filters motors fans belts etc. on systems. Repairs replaces and adjusts vents and duct work. Ensures that all HVAC repairs and installations are accurate serviceable and meet code parameters. Makes any modification needed to ensure proper installation and performance. Other duties as assigned.
