Has Lived With dogs Currently Living at the shelter Emma needs a foster as well as a forever home. Special adoption considerations None Sweet and oh so patient Emma had to wait a bit for her chance to become a Lucky Dog. The team at the shelter in Puerto Rico spotted her awhile ago this adorable little girl who watched them closely while fending for herself on the streets. But luck was shining on her and now she is on her way to DC in search of her forever home. Could that be with you Emma s cheery and outgoing loving dogs and people of all ages. Just look at her smile in those photos She hasn t had it easy but you would never guess that to look at her. It turns out she has an old fracture that didn t heal as perfectly as it should have. A letter from the vet indicates that this did not call for surgery although it does give her a rather unique gait. But as you can see from the video that doesn t keep her from running with the other dogs Emma s eager to find a home of her own. No one-year old should be on the streets by herself but that s how Emma s story began. Now she has the chance to see that there is more to life than a daily struggle to survive. This little sweetheart will bring so much joy to your household you will wonder how you ever lived without her. Like most shelter dogs Emma may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained. Emma does well with other dogs and kids but has not yet been tested with cats. The adoption fee for this dog is 350 which includes the cost of routine vetting including vaccinations and spay neuter.
