Being a 1st-generation American meant that my parents distilled a hard work ethic in me but college was never brought up. Both my parents did not attend college and couldn t afford to pay for me to go. I had to work a full-time job in order to get through Architecture school and it became more challenging once I moved to Oregon to finish my education. Overcoming obstacles and facing adversity has become a norm in my life and I will work hard every day to show that I belong in a place like this....
