Purple Heart Day Banquet

The Purple Heart is a military decoration given to those wounded or killed while serving as well as to those who display bravery and valor as prisoners of war and while fighting certain types of domestic terrorists. Purple Heart Recognition Day is held annually on August seventh for the purpose of thanking soldiers veterans and recipients of this medal. This year the Citizens Commission on Human Rights of Florida (CCHR) will be hosting a banquet commemorating the creation of the Purple Heart Medal and honoring military veterans and active-duty soldiers. At this banquet you will hear from special guest speakers about solutions to some of the key problems facing our veterans.
