ICU RNs - Contracts or Per Diem

We are seeking ICU Registered Nurses For Contract Or Per Diem Assignments to join our team This person will provide specialized care for critical patients as well as focus on patient treatment and recovery at a major healthcare facility in the area.We have multiple contracts with extensions available as well as lots of per diem shifts throughout Northern IL.Shifts available 12 hour shifts both 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.Responsibilities Observe and record patient vital signs Assist physicians in performing procedures Administer intravenous fluids and medications Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care Identify potential patient problems and take appropriate measures to intervene Act as patient advocate Provide education and support to patient families Ensure that medical equipment functions properly Treat wounds and provide advanced life support Order diagnostic tests Preferred Qualifications Cerner and or Meditech experience Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of current experience as an RN Current license or certification in the State of Illinois Current CPR certification Annual Health Statement and Negative TB test yearly or Chest X-Ray repeated every fifth year Proof of immunization status and or titers Ability to build rapport with patients Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work well in teams Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
