"The Naked Sea Suite"

World renowned classical guitarist Laurindo Almeida and the worlds greatest harmonica player George Fields composed the background music for The Naked Sea movie for harmonica and guitar. They entitled what they composed The Naked Sea Suite. It was a very old movie. I m not sure maybe in the 30s. When me and my parents attended a party Laurindo threw at his home George Fields was there. Laurindo told George to do the project with me because he did not have time. So at 19 I visited George in his West Hollywood home twice a week to practice The Naked Sea Suite that Laurindo gave me his original guitar score. This happened in 1972. Every night we practiced George s girls came home from partying making too much noise upstairs so we always ended up drinking coffee instead of practicing. Also George was in the proccess of divorcing his wife. So our project came to a standstill. We were going to record and market The Naked Sea Suite by a major record company featuring guitar and harmonica solos. The Naked Sea Suite guitar score Laurindo composed has eleven movements all relating to the sea. Each movement is about one to two pages and sorry to say I do not have the harmonica part. It is in fairly good condition that edges are a little yellowed where scotch tape used to be. Although the title page is missing it looks antiqued and the notes are very ledgible. It is about 14 by 12 . I knew Laurindo from 1968 until his passing in 1995. He was a prince of a gentleman and never tried using or fooling me.
