Since Sparkie has been living with her family for all of her adult life it has been quite a shock to enter the shelter. She is overwhelmed and decided to take a wait-and-see attitude. That is wait and see what happens next in her world. Her shelter caretakers have been working with Sparkie to help her overcome her apprehension and cope with her new situation.Behind that cautious exterior is a lively personality which will emerge when she is settled in her new home. We fully expect her to show some interest in toys and balls. A small dog training class would be a wonderful opportunity to give Sparkie confidence in herself and to cement a bond with her new family. Because of her sensitivity to sudden noise and movement we recommend an adults-only family. At this point in time although she did have a puppy she is not interested in other dogs. Although not much of a lap dog she did enjoy sitting in a lap and being gently stroked.Sparkie would certainly love to add a spark to your life.
