Rufus - Male American Fuzzy Lop

Rufus is a sweet little guy an American Fuzzy Lop about 5 years old (best guess by our vet). He was not well-cared for in his last home and was in fact dumped into the night drop at an area shelter. Poor Rufus was completely matted urine-stained and his eyes were fuzzy. The vet says he doesn t see well and we agree. After getting shaved down cleaned up and cared for at the vet (including a neuter surgery) Rufus is feeling much better He s an active little guy who enjoys attention and is really loving the TLC he gets here at our adoption center. We put drops in his eyes for a few weeks and they ve cleared up nicely but we think he does continue having trouble seeing. He may have the start of cataracts or sun damage to his eyes (likely since he was housed outdoors). Rufus is best suited to an experienced bunny home as he requires more care than your average bunny. The American Fuzzy Lop breed needs groomed several times a week to keep their fur in good condition. Rufus is also a smaller bunny and would not do well with a small child.
