This is a 1970 s Kenmore Trash Compactor still works great and operates like it should. Although its old it wasn t used that much back in the day. I have looked up the manual and some parts can still be found for it. It can also be used as a can crusher and works very well for that..It is also very heavy. When you close drawer a deodorant automatically sprays over refuse to help control bacteria and odors. When you re ready to compact push the button. A powerful ram driven by 1 3-HP motor moves down with 2000 lbs of force to compact the trash to one-fourth its original volume. Keep tossing in trash and compacting until bag is full. Side latch of drawer releases so you can easily lift out bag and replace it with a fresh one. Seal full bag for local pick-up average weight 30 lbs. Holds approximately as much as three 20-gallon trash cans. Takes bottles bones cans food waste--almost anything. Colors include tawny gold white coppertone or avocado.
