Antique Piano somewhere between 1890-1920 in wonderful shape The story how I came into possession of the piano Im a contractor in Morristown that had recently remodeled a turn of the century historic building in downtown Morristown. The new building s owner made me an offer If you can get it out of here you can own it. Research I do not know pianos all that well so I had a buddy of mine look at it. He played for about 15 min stopped turned to me and said Wow I m jealous this is actually worth a lot of money. So at that point I turned to the internet to research it. The brand name says Hardman a company established in 1842 and on this piano marked Patented 1886. I ve spent about a day searching online but only found a similar looking piano not an exact match. The website that listed theirs at 1909 it was refurbished and listed that it sold for 14 300. Condition My buddy said there were two octavos on the higher end that were off (whatever that means). One of the keys is missing a sheath and from sitting in a building for a long long time it is dusty and has a very few small nicks & scratches. He said and I am witness to that it plays amazing was very surprised it was still in tune. Sell price I have listed 4 000 to weed out the non serious inquiries. I will however entertain prices above 3 000. This would be an awesome restoration project that wouldn t cost much because of the decent shape it is in right now and because of the possible completion price would make a really good money making opportunity.
