Position Summary Define and develop new software concepts that meet performance specifications Develop creative solutions in various software languages to meet assigned software development challenges Research identify evaluate and develop new technologies for implementation Learn new technologies quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies with existing systems Execute full life cycle application development Diagnose and troubleshoot problematic applications Design and develop front end graphical user interfaces Apply process knowledge to influence design and participate in review of designs Perform software testing validation requirements analysis and reliability analysis to minimize risk and achieve a high level of quality assurance Qualifications Skills Required Overall knowledge of the computing environment at large e.g. typical uses and user populations of operating systems communications protocols hardware platforms etc. Software development platforms and systems knowledge C C C .NET HTML Java XML SQL LabVIEW MS Windows Linux Understanding of software design methodologies techniques and best practices Ability to implement software programs that are efficient reliable and robust Understanding of networking distributed computing environment concepts e.g. routing client server security encryption etc. Database structure and design techniques Proficiency with graphical user interface development and best practices Troubleshooting of hardware applications software operating systems networks etc. Knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas Project management with the ability to participate in the long range planning for new projects Education Experience Required Bachelor s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution Minimum 3 years experience developing software for a variety of platforms Experience in industrial automation a plus If interested please submit a resume to careers(at)markandy.com EOE.
