Negotiate and finalize business unit or bid area contract prices with trade partners. Evaluate available trade partner pool. Update contracts and changes to lump sum or unit price components. Receive and evaluate vendor bid proposals. Act as the point of contact for community support issues relating to purchasing issues. Update non-price components of business unit s contracts such as terms and conditions. Perform monthly community budget analysis. Help to manage and maintain scopes of work.Three years of experience in residential purchasing activities in the construction industry with large regional or national homebuilder required. A bachelor s degree in construction management or similar discipline preferred. Successful candidate must maintain a valid driver s license.Candidate must proactively face challenges while being committed to providing customers with excellent services and products. The capacity for directing others while under pressure and maintaining a high level of ethics and integrity in all dealings is a must. Strategic planning abilities handling multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines and demonstrating good judgment and decision-making skills are necessities for this position. The candidate must have a proven track record of success in building effective teams and interpersonal relationships while steadfastly pushing self and others for results.K.
