MyHabit is seeking an accomplished on-set Art Director to become one of the key creative voices in our commercial still-life studio in Hebron Kentucky. The ideal candidate must have a solid professional background directing the creation of best-of-class still life and photography for online retail. This role requires a keen eye for style visual composition and attention to detail as well as an understanding of trends creating new style directions and technical execution on set. The Art Director must be comfortable working within existing style guide conventions but also possess a strong individual sense of aesthetics and be able to bring tasteful stylish and aspirational ideas to the table.This role represents an exceptional opportunity for a uniquely talented Art Director to remake the fashion retailing landscape as MyHabit and Amazon Fashion grow its ecommerce fashion retail business. The successful candidate must provide a strong portfolio which demonstrates excellent art direction and visual design skills. He she must also be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and or projects at once without sacrificing quality. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated self-directed and able to thrive in an atmosphere of ambiguity and rapid development while also bringing enthusiasm and a sense of humor to the set.Responsibilities Oversee production of at least two editorial still life sets running the gamut of styles strategies product categories and brandsCollaborate across the studio and creative teams (Studio Management Styling Photography Creative and Art Direction Production and Design) to deliver high-quality scalable editorial still life imagesOversee daily tactical creative decisions and drive longer-term strategic initiatives to keep the studio s creative outlook fresh on trend and always appealing to our customerCollaborate with Creative and Art Directors and Design on seasonal concepts and special projectsProactively manage time and deadlines Basic Qualifications Digital portfolio and or website which demonstrates creative thought leadership across a variety of fashion retail categoriesAt least 5 years of cumulative experience in the commercial photographic still life fieldDesign degree preferred 4-year college degree required Preferred Qualifications Strong awareness of off-figure styling and lighting techniques with the ability to rapidly direct multiple team members in order to reach and maintain the right lookHave a clean and modern approach to photographyApproach design solutions with knowledge of style trends and customer expectationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to use influence to reach collective visual design goalsAbility to hire develop and lead teams of freelance resourcesMastery of the principals of design color theory and graphics file creation optimized for the webFluent with Photoshop InDesign Illustrator Acrobat and MS Office Exchange fashionjobsApply NowCompany
