Perry s Ice Cream ( PIC ) is currently recruiting for the position of Route Sales Driver in the Rochester and surrounding areas (Route 9). This position is responsible for the delivery merchandising and sales of Partner Brand products. The Route Sales Driver must provide the highest level of customer service and sales for each customer. Essential Duties C Responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with Store Managers other key store personnel as well as potential PIC customers within your assigned accounts C Support the production of safe high quality products and team member safety C Work with DSD Drivers SRs and MRs to maintain and adjust proper store service levels as warranted by promotional activity and sales volume C Ensure that all brands represented by PIC have proper product mix flavor mix and planogram integrity on the shelves at all times C Utilize correct ordering practices to maximize sales to include proper ordering techniques use of point of sale use of order guides and timeliness of order transmissions C Check delivered orders for any damage that occurred through the delivery process and issue credit immediately C Communication to Territory Sales Managers about all applicable account issues including but not limited to competitive presence and programs service issues and account compliance to PIC or corporate programs C Ability to maintain professional level of communication with Team Leaders SRs DSD Drivers and MR s concerning all field and service issues and opportunities and C Practice good housekeeping skills. Minimum Qualifications C CDL Class A required C must have flexible availability C strong commitment to safety and meeting maintaining all DOT regulations C must have strong customer service positive attitude and verbal written communication skills C basic computer keyboard skills and handheld experience preferred C able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and to push pull 150 lbs. C willing to work in cold environment walk in freezer (approx. temperature 20 to -10 ) C extensive climbing lifting pulling and pushing and C 1-2 years route sales experience preferred.
