Jackson comes to us as an owner surrender because his elderly owners were not able to deal with some behavior issues Jackson has. Jackson is a sweet confident little guy who does not like to share items that he feels are very important to him like bones and chews. He will require an experienced adopter who will be willing to follow a prescribed protocol. It may be the case that Jackson may not be able to have have these high value objects. He will need to live in a adult only household. A pre-adoption consultation is required to discuss management and possible modification of this behavior. Management is critical with Jackson and if properly managed he can be a fantastic companion.Jackson was good with the dogs he met here both large and small. He enjoys being petted and handled and his owners stated he loves riding in cars. He can be a bit of a puller so we recommend the use of a sense-a-tion harness when walking him.Jackson should make a wonderful companion for an experience adopter who understands the importance of leadership and management.
