Job Purpose The Chef Event Specialist you will be working in a high profile high visibility position with in a large retail environment preparing sampling pricing of specialty products. Cooking off selected recipes while informing and engaging consumers. Will be responsible for increasing sales through proper cooking demonstrations all while creating excitement and energy. Job Responsibilities Conduct Event Demonstrations. Prepare food and conduct sampling to consumers. Engage audience and create awareness and enthusiasm. Promote and educate consumers on products and build brand awareness. Dynamically and aggressively sell products to customers. Event Set-up and Breakdown. Job Requirements MUST BE CHEF CERTIFIED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION Experience Cooking and preparing specialty recipes in a commercial or creative environment Skills & Competencies Must be Food Safety Certified or must be able to pass Food Safety Certification Exam. Outgoing personality with ability to draw crowds of people to witness a product cooking demonstration. Compliance with all food safety requirements and regulations. Ability to build strong relationships with store Managers and store customers. Friendly outgoing personality confidence and enthusiasm to engage retail shoppers. Great communication skills e.g. ability to connect with customers and sell products. Demonstrates commitment to meeting or exceeding customer expectations effectively solicits and responds to the needs of the customer both external and internal. Works cooperatively with others toward common group objectives demonstrates respect for the ideas. and contributions of other team members cultivates positive relationships with other associates and provides assistance and support to others.
