Daisy Duke (who also answers to Dukey or Big Mama) is a lovely 6-year old female Boxer Corgi mix who was surrendered by her tearful owner on September 17 2016. Her housemate (Spunky) was also surrendered because their owner lost her job and could no longer keep her beloved pets ( Dukey has a fawn short smooth coat with white highlights on her chest and paws a long tail and a beautiful face with soulful eyes and short horizontal ears. Dukey has a sweet gentle disposition. This girl literally loves everyone (people children other dogs and cats). Dukey hadn t been treated kindly for the first year of her but thankfully that changed when her present owner rescued her and truly loved spoiled pampered her the way that every dog should enjoy. Dukey is a cuddler who loves to snuggle up and sleep next to you. She knows some commands and will sit and speak and she walks gently on a leash. Dukey has been kept indoors and is housebroken. She is very sensitive and wants to do everything to please you. Dukey is afraid of loud noises (including loud voices since she assumes she has done something wrong) ( She is allergic to fleas and red food dye. Dukey weighs 71 lbs. and has already been spayed. We hope that she will find a new home asap where she can once again snuggle up with someone who loves her.
