Hi everyone My name is Petey and I am a neutered happy 3-year-old boy with tons of love to give. I am UTD on vaccines and microchipped. My first three years of life were spent in a backyard breeders stud kennel. I was outside all the time locked up in a kennel and a bad mosquito bit me and gave me heartworms. Luckily for me this kennel was shut down and I went to the shelter with 60 other dogs and those nice people called NBRAN to help me. Now three months later I am a HAPPY 29-pound boy. Yes I know I am small but I love with everything I have I love people of all sizes I get along with all my foster family s dogs and kitties.I am housebroken AND I am finally cured of those nasty worms in my heart My foster mom and dad told me I am love starved since I started life without anyone to love me. I love people and I love to play with toys. I like to throw toys in the air and sometimes steal a toy from my foster brother. Did I say I like toys I am an energetic boy now and love to romp and run with my foster brother. We race each other to the back fence but then go our own way. I am learning more now how to play with other dogs but since I was all alone in my kennel for so long I am still learning this part. I can sit and sometimes stay but my recall isn t so good yet and I would benefit from basic obedience with you of course to be there to help me through it I have been leash walked for the past 10 weeks because of my heartworms and I am MUCH better on a leash now than when I first got here. I used to make my foster mom think she was skiing behind me instead of walking but I do so much better now When I am back in the house I like to grab my toys and squeak squeak them for a few minutes and roll around on the loveseat or couch. After that what I really want is to be close to you and I will get in your lap or next to you for cuddles and snuggles. I love to give kisses and will kiss you all day if you let me. I would love to go on walks with you and I enjoy car rides too. If you go to another room I will be right there too. I am a Velcro Brittany and want to be attached to you. At the end of the day I d really like to cuddle up with you in bed but I can sleep in a bed in your room too. I am good in the house and I do not intentionally destroy anything well except the squeaker in my toys. It is very important to keep me on heartworm preventative as any pup and will need to go back to the vet in six months for a heart worm recheck.If you are interested in adopting me please visit www.NBRAN.org to complete an adoption application.
