Izzy - Manchester TerrierLabrador Retriever Mix

Look at those ears This adorable little pup was discovered as a stray in a rural part of SC where dog fighting and backyard breeding are far too common. Izzy kept showing up at a local home clearly very thin and still just a puppy but she may have had a feeling about the family who lived there they took her in and reached out to DDB for help. Lizzy is only 6-9 months old and weighs about 25 pounds. She s currently being fostered in a home with 5 kids from 1 to 14 and a large Lab that she enjoys playing with. Her foster mom Carrie sends us this report Izzy is such a sweet puppy. When meeting new people she is friendly but hand shy at first. When she met Charlotte our lab she immediately crouched and rolled over in surrender. She is warming up to our family and getting more playful every day. I am getting a harness today and will start leash walking her at the park so she gets practice. She s partially potty trained but we are working on that. Izzy is very affectionate and needs to be cuddled a lot for security. She is still in puppy most so will playfully nip and is very agile to climb a short fence. She has already learned not to jump on our furniture or us and to sleeps on her dog bed. She has great potential and just needs a loving nurturing home to lead her through the puppy stage. Izzy will make a great family dog or pup companion. She will be coming to town on 10 8. Apply for her today so you are ready to meet her when she arrives.
