Do you have an interest in archaeology anthropology or history Do you want to actively participate in an archaeological excavation The Mon-Yough Chapter of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology is seeking new members to join our organization. We are a group of professional non-professional and student archaeologists dedicated to the study and preservation of Southwestern Pennsylvania history. Our members are given the opportunity to get their hands dirty on active digs held each field season (usually beginning in May) at prehistoric and historic sites in Fayette Greene and or Washington Counties with no experience necessary. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings held at 7PM on the 3rd Thursday of every month in Room 203 of the Frich building at California University of Pennsylvania.
