Trooper - Male Domestic Shorthair

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Trooper This gorgeous little man came to us with only days to live. He was very young malnourished and had a severe Upper Respiratory Infection that nearly took his life His eyes were infected at the age of 2 weeks. When they were starting to open Poor baby This caused his eyes to remain closed which trapped the infection and sealed his little eyed shut again. He started showing signs of improvement with the respiratory part of the infection shortly after arriving at our shelter but his little eyes were just not getting there. Weeks went by and finally Troopers eyes were open. The drainage was still present and his vision was very poor but that did not slow him down. He played climbed and chased toys by using his sense of hearing. If you didn t know that his eyesight was poor at the time you would have never known by watching him play This gave us great hope for his future. As time passed Trooper s eyes began to improve a little more every day. We were not only successful in saving BOTH of his eyes but he has perfect vision in both as well His left cornea has a little scarring on it but that is literally all it is. WHAT A REMARKABLE RECOVERY He has come a REALLY long way from the tiny little sickly kitten that we first met and now at 3 months of age he is FINALLY ready to get out of this shelter and live a life of play and love
