This authentically-styled G Gauge train set includes a coal tender car a gondola car a caboose and an incredibly detailed locomotive with working lights sounds and puffing smoke. It is the Coastal Express made by Scientific Toys company. It looks great when displayed around your Christmas tree It is battery operated with the batteries in the coal tender car. The track is NOT electrified so it is perfectly safe for children of any age The track and the cars are made of light high-impact plastic so they will last a lifetime even with kids around. An easy-to-use wireless control transmitter operates the train s direction and effects - FORWARD - BACKWARD - TRAIN ENGINE SOUNDS - ALL ABOARD VOICE SOUND - and WHISTLE. Train can also be operated without the remote. Cars feature auto-coupling mechanism for easy connection and release. Comes with over 20 feet of track 12 curved tracks and 8 straight tracks that can be configured into a circle or an oval. Each train car measures approximately 9 to 12 inches long and about 6 inches tall. Requires 6 C batteries and 1 9V battery which are included. The train works and looks great and has only been used around the Christmas tree a few times. No kids have ever touched this which is why it is still in beautiful shape.
