Lola s family brought her here because they no longer had time for her. We hope her next family will because she is a beautiful bun that enjoys being petted is full of curiosity and seeks out attention from people ONCE she is comfortable with them. We do recommend an adult home only because she doesn t trust people completely and will need a very patient person to gain that trust. Lola will require a yearly vet exam and nail trimming about every 4-6 months. Lola in addition to learning to trust people is not thrilled with being picked-up but getting used to it. This is another reason an adult only home is best for her. In our Rabbit Romper Room she entertained herself playing with wicker toys and tunnels to run through. Keep in mind that a well cared for rabbit kept inside with the family can live to be 10-12 years old. All rabbits need time outside of their enclosure to burn off energy and to kick up their feet A long hallway or a room they haven t been in before will do the trick. Getting out of their enclosure for 2-3 hours a day is critical. Not only does it help with boredom but it helps with moving their food through their delicate system. And make sure to provide a variety of rabbit safe toys. Rotating them will keep her more interested in playing with them.She should eat unlimited amounts of Timothy Oat Hay and or Orchard Grass hay 2-3 tablespoons of pellets (no dried fruit or nut mixes) a small handful of veggies and an occasional piece of fruit as a treat.
