Grandpa was found as a stray in Camden city this February. According to the lady who had been setting out food for him Grandpa used to belong to a woman who passed away in 2011. Can you believe it Poor Grandpa was out on the streets of Camden for 5yrs We are guessing he is around eight or 9 yrs old. When we took Grandpa in he had several teeth that needed to be removed from extensive decay but he has now recovered and feeling much better His left eye is clouded over with scarring from an untreated eye infection while he was a stray but he gets around just fine with the vision in his right eye. Poor Grandpa must have been attacked by some tough street cats because he tested positive for FIV (a virus transmitted between cats by deep bites during fighting). As long as Grandpa is kept as an indoor pet with regular veterinarian checkups he can live for many more happy years. Grandpa is gentle and does get along with other friendly cats so he can share a home with FIV-negative cats....
