Chevy - Female American Pit Bull Terrier

My name is Chevy and I am a purebred 7 year old red-nosed American Pit Bull Terrier. Don t let my age fool you because as the saying goes you re only as old as you feel...and I feel GREAT When people first meet me they re shocked when they find out my real age. Most people think I m 1-2 years old and that s exactly how I feel I am a very sweet and loving dog who loves to give and receive lots of affection. I am house trained crate trained up to date on my vaccinations microchipped spayed and heartworm negative. I get along very well with other dogs (big and small) and even cats. I currently live with a 100 pound Pit Bull mix named Roscoe whom I ve become best friends with a 40 pound Australian Cattle Dog a 15 pound Pomchi and several cats...and I get along great with all of them I promise that you couldn t ask for a sweeter and more lovable dog than me. When my hero at Fluffy Friends Rescue first rescued me I was very skittish of human males because I came from a household where the male of the house abused me. However my rescue Mom was so patient with me and worked with me and after being in her loving care for two years now I am no longer showing any signs of my prior abuse. Isn t that wonderful I think so As much as I love my rescue Mom I d love to find a family to call my own. Unfortunately too many people judge me solely on my breed which makes me very sad because I love all people dogs and cats I have so many great qualities if you ll just give me a chance. I walk very well on a leash know basic commands and would make a wonderful addition to any family. I ve been trying my best to become the best dog I can be so a wonderful family would be proud to call me their own. The only issue I have is if I am left unattended for too many hours at a time I will be very excited to see you when you get home and I am a little hyper at first. Who wouldn t be though I just want you to know how much I missed you and I want to spend time with you. However my hyperness only lasts about 15 minutes maximum then I am so happy to be with you that I calm right down. Of course if you take me outside when you get home then I can run around and play and that will help me calm down faster.As I am still a young dog with lots of energy I would prefer a home with a backyard where I can run and play with you. I don t think I would do too well in an apartment. That is unless you will make a point to take me on a couple of walks every day and find me an off leash dog park where I can expel some of my energy. My favorite game is fetch and I am not to proud to say that I can outrun any other dog that I have seen. Yep I m that fast I am told that I look adorable when I m running too If you come meet me we can go to a dog park and I can show you.
