Technical Writer Position for the Wireless Networks Engineering Group Position Technical Writer Location Herndon VA Duration 6 12 months Telecom Technology Services Inc (TTS) is looking for a Contract Technical Writer to work on a high-profile global re-documentation project for a Telecom hardware customer in Herndon VA. The position involves rewriting and updating existing commercial Wireless Network Documentation to include product and engineering documentation as part of a global team of technical writers and subject matter experts Qualified candidates for this position should meet the following requirements 5 year of Technical Writing experience (preferably technical documentation) 2 years of experience working in a Wireless Network Company or the equivalent. BA or BS degree in a related field (preferred) Experience working closely in an engineering department to write and rewrite product and engineering documentation to include product descriptions maintenance manuals alarm descriptions installation manuals etc. Experience working with Engineers and or Technical Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop documentation Tools Advanced Microsoft Word Microsoft SharePoint and Framemaker Work well independently as well as within an existing team of system engineers developers testers writers and others PC based computer experience essential MS Word Excel Access PowerPoint Adobe Acrobat Photoshop MS Project MS SharePoint Experience writing clear and concise technical documentation for complex topics Experience organizing structuring and maintaining large bodies of information Excellent teamwork skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiar with telecom infrastructure terminology Good analytical capabilities and problem solving skills Korean language skills is a plus
