Nickname Oscar the good Posted Breed Dachshund (long coat). Oscar is a Nice dog He is 15yrs old and because he is a double dapple he is also blind and deaf but he is very active and loves to explore the fenced back yard at his foster home. He shares his home with a cat and a few other dogs. Oscar isn t too sure of strangers so you must be patient with him on your 1st meeting but once he warms up to you....look out...Casanova might have been a better name Smell means everything to him since it is the only sense he has left. He can detect vibration and you should do you best to ensure he can detect the vibration of your approach so as not to startle him. He can nip if you startle him but it won t take long for you to learn how to communicate with him. Oscar would do best in a home with no little kids.
