This beautiful girl named Ruby who was recently returned is available for adoption. She is a very smart red heeler mix just over 2 years old. In her initial foster home she was house trained lived with 5 dogs and got along well with all of them and was a very happy easy going girl. Since her return to the rescue we have had her evaluated by a professional dog trainer who feels she is such a great loving dog who is really loyal and quickly attaches herself to the person(s) who knows how to give her the right guidance. When the trainer worked with her she said Ruby was eager to follow her lead look at her for direction and she thrived on knowing she was by the trainers side getting the right type of cues. She would do best with an experienced dog owner. She will quickly become your most loyal follower and wants to be part of the family and your home life. Normally as a rescue we do not promote or adopt dogs out without a commitment to a fenced in yard or on a leash when outside but with this girl we would make an exception. Ruby can easily jump a 6 foot fence and the best part about that is in our experience she doesn t stray very far away from her home or owner. The times we ve seen her do this she came right back in the yard or hung out by the house and came right back when called. She would do great on a farm but could NOT ONLY be an outside dog. We would require her to have access to your home. Ruby loves to cuddle and give kisses. If you are looking for a special and unique dog like Ruby fill out an applicationAll adoptions are 200 per dog which include spay neuter micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs at our discretion are adopted out at 100 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older.
