Nickname Lieutenant Dan Posted Breed Papillon Mixed (medium coat). Meet our little trooper Lieutenant Dan Lt. Dan arrived at The Barking Lot in August 2016 from San Bernardino. Lt. Dan s pre-TBL story is a bit sad. He and his brother Conor Kenny (also a TBL dog) were found after being hit by a car. They were brought to the veterinarian clinic at San Bernardino shelter due to their extensive injuries. While Conor Kenny had a crushed pelvis and broken femur Lt. Dan s injuries were even more severe in that he had a fractured spine leading to total hind quarter paralysis. Both dogs were scheduled to be put to sleep until TBL swooped in rescued them and found them both foster homes where they could have their medical needs treated and cared for. Lt.
