Cobalt s current family can no longer keep him and has reached out to us to help find him a new home. He has become stressed in the home since the family had another child so we recommend a small family for him with respectful children (maybe older kids) who can give him space when he needs it.A letter from Cobalt s mom My dog s name is Cobalt. He s a lab border collie mix. We adopted him from the shelter in January 2015. They estimated he was 1.5 years. We had him neutered shortly after. We were immediately drawn to him at the shelter here in Goldsboro. As we walked past dogs he just sat so calm and regal. Not barking or jumping at the gate like the other dogs around. I was smitten. We let our kids meet him and it was a great fit He did so well with them. When we brought him home he knew his manners. He wouldn t get on the couch or the beds(still doesn t to this day.) He knows sit and stay. He s is not food aggressive. He s incredibly loving and friendly. He was immediately crate trained. We had a few potty issues but those were quickly remedied. He loves playing fetch He s up to date on all vaccines and coming due on his heartworm flea prevention. I honestly just can t say enough good things about him. This absolutely breaks my heart....
