Luke is a handsome senior miniature Schnauzer mix who is looking for a peaceful home. He bonds quickly with his people and would be perfect with someone looking for a loyal companion. He may be 11 years old but is very energetic and enjoys his walks. Luke seems to like most small dogs but sometimes barks at bigger dogs. We think he would prefer to be an only dog but he does get along fine with dogs in his foster home.Luke came to us in need of dental work. He recently had several infected teeth removed and is much happier now that he is no longer in pain. He does have poor vision in one eye but seems to be in good health otherwise. He is house trained but needs to go out often His ideal home would have a back yard.We do not know how Luke is with children or cats. He does startle easily and is a little hand shy probably because of his previous painful mouth.Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs we must charge an adoption fee.
