Midnight - Female Domestic Shorthair Mix

Midnight came to the shelter with a large thermal burn to her left side that was not addressed in a timely manner resulting in the burn expending and causing quite a bit of damage. It was suspected that she had an unfortunate run in with a car engine and it resulted in a burn to her side and to her left back foot. When Midnight arrived at the branch she was rushed to the veterinarians and had to undergo emergency surgery. Midnight has gone through an extensive recovery and has finally received the clear from her vet to go up for adoption. Midnight arrived in our care back in January of 2015 that s right 2015 meaning she has been in our care for just over a year. She spend a good part of her recovery with the amazing team at Merecroft Veterinary Clinic who did her surgery and her rehabilitation. She was than placed in a foster home to finish up her healing time. Since burns take quite sometime to heal it has been a long recovery for Midnight but we are so excited that Midnight is finally ready for adoption. She has gone through so much in the past year and has been such a champion through it all it s an exciting time for us to finally see her find her new forever family. Midnight is a lovely cat she loves to be pet and will be a wonderful new companion in a quiet household. She is not overly fond of other animals and we are recommending that she go to a home with no other pets. Midnight should be kept as an indoor cat we would hate to see her get herself into trouble again. Midnight would not be a great match for a home with young children she is a bit of an independent cat and will let you know if she is not in the mood for attention. She is the kind of girl who will lay next to you getting pets but she doesn t like to be picked up and held.
