Mick was rescued years ago by a SF Animal Care Officer. She knew that his wing injury meant he d likely heal flightless and thus be unreleasable and then euthanized and so she gave him a happy & safe home for several years. (And she was right- he is flightless.) When his mate died she didn t want him to be alone (nor did she want to adopt a new pigeon) and so Mick was surrendered to Palomacy. He was a good natured bachelor in the flock for more than 6 months but he finally won the heart of a lovely young rescued racing pigeon named Eve and he is very happy to be married again.
