FRANKIE - Male Rat Terrier Mix

Hi my name is Frankie. I am a super sweet 4 year old rat terrier mix who weighs 26 lbs. I am so lucky that Miss Sandra came to the shelter to get one of my buddies. She took one look at me and told the shelter that I could go home with her too. I was so relieved. You see I had laid in the shelter for 2 weeks with a broken leg. The vet tried very hard to save it but there was no way that the bone would heal so I lost my left back leg. It was really weird when I woke up but the horrible pain was gone. It only took me a couple of days to figure out how to get around and now I have no problem. Steps and getting out of the car are the most difficult and I am working on them. All the other doggies in my foster home have been so nice. They welcomed me and made me feel right at home. I love to explore in our fenced in yard and to play with my buddies. I am taking it slow for a few days as my surgery was only on March 3 but I am quickly regaining my strength. I love my foster mom and do not meet a stranger. Everyone also falls in love with me because I am such a sweet boy. I would be a great family pet. I have to go back to the vet in two weeks and then I should be good to go. I have been neutered am current on all my shots have clean teeth and am microchipped. I can be adopted in the Nashville are now but it you live further away I cannot go with you until March 20.
