Jewel is a delightful Shepherd Hound mix that is a young adult. She arrived at Friendship from another shelter and was found to be heartworm positive. Jewel was placed in a loving foster home during her treatment. She is now healthy and back at Friendship hoping to find her forever home. Jewel s foster family (pictured with her) instantly fell in love with her. She is a social butterfly that loves people but is a little cautious around men. She was a little intimidated with the father in the family until he shaved his beard. Once that happened they became good buddies. She also doesn t like men in baseball caps. Jewel knows her basic commands is house trained and has manners in the home. She lived with several cats and never bothered him. She has not lived with any dogs and seems cautious of them. This good girl is crate trained too. She would go in her crate at night to sleep and in the afternoon to rest but the crate was never latched. You really need to stop by and check out Jewel.
