Age 10 months Gender Female Weight 31 pounds Breed Saluki Kids Maybe Dogs Yes Cats ok Meet Ethel a very friendly and active Saluki puppy. She was found in Kuwait in a parking lot of a vet s office where her owner had dumped her after deciding he didn t want to pay to have her mangled leg looked at. She took Ethel into the vet who determined that her leg would need to be amputated because of its condition. The vet also discovered that she has a long burn scar on her spine where the hair will not grow back but it does not seem to bother her. Ethel has had her leg amputated and has healed well and gets around without any problems she can even go up and down the stairs Because of her rough start she will need a lot of training to help her with basic commands walking on a leash and decreasing general puppy behaviors. She also gets very anxious when left alone but this too can be remedied with a trainer. She gets along great with her the foster s current pup and is a cuddler. Ethel is a very loving dog who just needs a lot of love. She would do best in a home with a yard and with a family who can spend a lot of time with her. Ethel is being fostered in Baltimore and is up to date on her shots microchipped and spayed. We would like to have Ethel adopted within an hour distance from Baltimore.
