Every once in awhile an animal comes along that completely steals our hearts... Tusk is one of those animals. He has been happily living with us in the offices here at the shelter for the past few weeks and it s time for him to find a home of his own. Tusk came as a stray with untreated ear infections. Medication cleared it right up but his new owner s should be prepared for the occasional vet bill if his ears flare up again. Tusk is very sweet and a true lover. He will rest his head in your lap and nudge your hand to be pet. He can be a little mouthy and forget his manners when he s excited but he listens very very well. He knows sit and we would consider him housetrained. Tusk can be a little protective and barks at people outside the window but has been friendly with almost eveyrone he meets. We think Tusk is a lab rottweiler mix and about 2-3 years old. Because we ve spoiled him rotten we are looking for a specific home for Tusk one that will let him stay indoors where he can be with his family and one that is prepared for the occasional vet bill or two. Tusk is fine with children he can be pretty picky with other dogs but does ok with some of them (we can always help with a dog introduction if needed). He loves his toys and likes to skin tennis balls. He doesn t seem to be a chewer as long as he has toys to play with. Tusk would make an awesome companion and a great walking or hiking partner and we are looking for someone who would love Tusk as much as we do and even bring him back to visit once in awhile Tusk s adoption fee is 80 you can visit him by asking about him at the front counter....
