UPDATE Pat is all grown up and has a pigeon wife named Guru. Together they build some of the best nests we ve ever seen Pat has many talents. He s also a really wonderful pigeon ambassador who works at lots of events for us showing off pigeon pants and what great pets pigeons are. He s got some special human friends that he loves and we know that he d make a great pet. (His mate Guru prefers not to be handled.)Pat is an all white King pigeon with just a touch of black on the ends of his tail feathers. He was found as at the age of 4 weeks wandering around helpless and endangered in Golden Gate Park on 4 7 14. He was lucky enough to get taken to the SF animal shelter where they kept him for 6 weeks... with no adopter in sight and timed out MickaCoo squeezed him into our foster care. He s great in the aviary- getting along fine with everybody and he s tolerant of being handled and shown off (in pigeon pants) at outreach & adoption events. Recently he has shown great pet potential in the loving hands of a volunteer- he is very relaxed and happy with her Pat needs a home- either with birds or with people and ideally a mate to call his own.
