She is nervous in her kennel unlike her outgoing friend Nobu. Nari was previously bred and has a foot deformity though she gets along well. She showed true potential after the volunteer made friends with her and provided some treats showing Nari has potential. She just needs patience and kindness and to feel safe. She does bark initially when she is approached in her kennel which is why she s being passed over. This is the type of dog that needs rescue. She and Nobu are urgent and both need a commitment by the end of the day November 3rd or they will be placed on the Euth List. I have been at the shelter since Oct 02 2016 MEDICAL NOTES TUMOR 10 02 16 10 43 Has large mammary mass and possible burn injuries on foot and behind ears. ddp 10 3 16 The dog presented BAR and friendly with no microchip. Both pinna shows ulcerations and scabs likely secondary to fly strike. The front left anterior forelimb has a large thickened ulceration likely secondary to self trauma - initial wound (lick granuloma). The dog will be started on oral antibiotic and a shelter e-collar was placed to prevent further licking. A large round firm unattached mammary mass is present at the left caudal mammary gland. Removal with biopsy is needed to definitively diagnose and gauge prognosis. Blood work and 3-view chest x-rays are advised prior to any surgical procedure. Adopt with a medical waiver. Rx Cephalexin 500mg (1 cap) PO BID x 14d. ( 28)....RD 10 4 16 BAR e-collar in place large amount of yellow mucusy vomit with food and flecks of green (pills) antibiotics may have upset her stomach. Continue to monitor....MT KENNEL COUGH 10-13-16 Has discharge coming out of her nose...JD 1.00 2 14 CEPHALEXIN500 500.00 10 13 16 Please isolate and start on Doxycycline 100mg give 1 tablet by mouth twice daily for 10 days.
