Marshall - Male German Shepherd Dog Mix

If you are at least 18 years old and everyone in your household is on board adopting a puppy call -----X. Renters must provide proof that you are allowed to have a puppy. Marshall is a German Shepherd X who was born on about December 12 2015. A Good Samaritan found him wandering near the dump grounds hungry and cold. The kind man took him to a vet in the nearby town and the vet transferred him to PUP to find a permanent home. He was one hungry little guy but he is now well fed happy and weighs 16 . We anticipate his adult weight to be in the 45- 50 range but his adopter should be prepared to love him if he is smaller or larger than anticipated. We estimate adult weight based on age and since we are guessing at his DOB we could be a bit off.Marshall is social with people and other dogs. He is living with a 50 adult a puppy and a young dog. He also has other playmates so he is well socialized. He is good at doing his business on newspapers and understands the reason for going outside. He is ready to begin formal house breaking. He is used to walking on a leash but like all puppies he is more interesting in having a good sniff and playing than walking in a nice line. The first 4 months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. His adopter should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations hearing vacuums trucks and rattling garbage cans meeting people who are clapping laughing with hats tools bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good doggie social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates trips to the pet store and puppy socialization classes and later obedience classes and trips to the off leash park are ideal learning opportunities. As always a tired dog is a good dog.Marshall has been vet checked wormed and had his first vaccinations. He will need two more routine vaccinations and rabies vaccination at the owner s expense. His adoption fee of 300 includes the cost of his neuter if it is done by the PUP vet. PUP does place dogs outside the metro area but a firm plan must be in place for her spay. We do not ship....
