Rudy - Male Domestic Shorthair

Hi I m Rudy I spent the first several months of my life living outside with a feral colony fending for myself and eating scraps of food from a nearby restaurant dumpster. A kind lady was doing TNR (trap-neuter-release) in the area and I ended up in one of her traps because I was so hungry and there was food inside. Needless to say I was terrified to be stuck in there but she quickly took me to the doctor to be fixed before going back to my feral family. While I was recovering from my neuter surgery the lady saw potential in me and couldn t bear to put me back outside in the cold. After a few weeks of months of love and patience I finally decided that she wasn t so bad after all. Though I was pretty hissy at first I was actually the first of my siblings to pass the purr test as my foster mom calls it.As you can see I am quite striking with my black fur and white undercoat which forms a cool smoke pattern. I am definitely the strong silent type but I am slowly becoming more outgoing. I ve even been known to rub against people s legs. I tend to spend a lot of my free time relaxing in my under-the-bed-cave but if you lie down and pet me I will roll over and start purring. If I purr long enough I sometimes start drooling It s a little embarrassing but my foster mom thought it was adorable. I am very curious about feather toys and when I m feeling adventurous I will jump super high to catch it. I have looooong legs and an even longer tail which I think adds to my handsome appearance. I am very bonded with my siblings (Pebbles Josephine Veruca and Callie Jane) so I d definitely love to be adopted with one of them. I was the man of the house for a long time and I need to watch over my sisters Because I m still adjusting to big people I d prefer to have a home without any tiny people (or dogs they re loud and scary).
