Currently Living at Shelter in South Carolina Penny can t wait to come to D.C. and find her FURever home Meet southern belle Penny This sweet 1 year old labrador shepherd mix weighing in at approximately 35 lbs. found herself at a shelter through no fault of her own. Now she s on her way to D.C. and looking to find the perfect family to call her own As a young and energetic dog Penny will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep her happy and healthy. An adopter who works full time would need to commit to having a midday dog walker for her during the week. Penny would benefit from frequent trips to the dog park or even doggie daycare so she can socialize with her canine friends And of course upon returning home she d love to shower her new forever family with tons of kisses and cuddles Penny may seem shy at first but she warms up quickly Although Penny loves people and gets along well with other dogs we haven t had a chance to see her interact with kids yet. If you have them let us know and we ll do our best to find out Penny is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in her doggie manners and impress her new family.
