Has Lived with Dogs Special Adoption Considerations No kids under 15 Hi friends My name is Tootsie and I am a 3-year-old 10-pound chihuahua mix. I am not sure why I ended up in the shelter--which is a really scary place for a dog as tiny as I am --but I am excited to come up to DC soon and find my forever family. Are you the one for me At 3 years of age I am past my crazy puppy years but I would still benefit from a good amount of exercise. I would love to go on multiple daily walks with my family. Since I get along with other dogs it d be fun to visit the dog park regularly to run around and socialize with my canine buddies. If you have other dogs at home I d be happy to become part of the pack. And if not I wouldn t mind soaking up all your attention myself. Though I do like dogs I haven t yet spent time around cats. If you have any and you d like to know how I d do please ask Due to my small size I tend to get nervous around kids. For this reason I should go to a home without any children under 15. Like most shelter dogs I may need a refresher on house-training. I am likely crate trained. If any issues arise I would be happy to do obedience classes with my family.
