Nila seemed destined to become just 1 more tragic statistic. Nila was living on the streets if you can call it living. Scared cold and alone she was scavenging meals from dumpsters. Despite her wagging tail and friendly disposition passersby pretended not to even see her. You would think things couldn t get much worse but they did. Nila was struck by a car leaving her even more defenseless. Someone picked her up and took her to a high kill animal rescue shelter. The staff there must ve seen beyond her breed and her sorry condition because Furkids was called in to save Nila. We started out with a visit to the veterinarian where we found out that Nila needed surgery an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery. Nila came through the surgery like a trooper and has spent the past month recovering at her foster home. Finally Nila knows what comfort and security are all about She has healed physically and emotionally and is now ready to find her forever home. Nila is enjoying life....
