Adopt Sallie Mae a Treeing Walker Coonhound Mixed dog in Barrin

Sallie Mae was found along with her litter of pups and two other hounds in rural Tennessee. She was frequenting the area where 1 of our volunteer lives and of course this volunteer took it upon herself to trap Sallie her pups and the 2 other hounds. Her pups have long found homes and now it s Sallie s turn to have happily ever after. Sallie is a true hunter and enjoys chasing squirrels raccoons cats and opossums. We think she may have been a hunting dog at 1 point who was abandoned. Sallie is adjusting to indoor family life and has found that couches are super awesome and comfy. She s still getting used to the sounds of a home but is making nice progress. This adorable girl loves to be petted and have her neck rubbed. You can tell when she s happy as she ll stomp her feet. It s super precious. Sallie enjoys wrestling with the male hound she was found with. And gets along well with her small canine foster sibling. She has been around children who are 8-10 yrs old and done precious with them. ...
