Ferdinand Ferdi is a really lovable younger dog that takes a little bit of time to warm up to people. The staff has noticed that if when you go in to visit him you bring in some yummy treats with you approach the room very slowly and quietly and wait for him to approach you once inside the room he does very well and warms up pretty quickly. Ferdi was originally a found stray in Washoe County and does have some food aggression when he gets breakfast and dinner but does not show any with treats. This can be a typical behavior of a dog that is found as a stray as he was having to find and keep whatever food he was able to find while out roaming. Ferdi does have some of his basic commands down and is a exquisite walker on leash not pulling on the person walking him at all. We have done some dog testing with Ferdi and a couple larger dogs here at Pet Network which Ferdinand showed nothing but happiness to see and spend time with another dog....
