The day after Thanksgiving 2015 Annie wandered up to the family s home in rural Oklahoma. It was pouring rain. She was a bag of bones and she was favoring her right front leg. We ll never know if someone dropped Annie off at that house or if by chance she knew that Brandy was a rescuer. Brandy took Annie to see the veterinarian the next day. X-rays showed that she had fractured her leg. But it was an old injury. They suggested that her leg be amputated. Brandy said that amputation was not an option especially because it was her front leg. She wasn t giving up on her that easily Fast forward 3 mnths. Annie has gained weight and she s healthy She LOVES to wrestle and play chase. Despite having a limited range of motion with her front leg the girl can run fast She s very smart and an adorably charming She even knows a couple of not-so-standard parlor tricks When she wants to nap she pops open the door on her crate and puts herself to bed....
