Adopt Stetson a Black - with Tan Yellow or Fawn German Shepherd

Stetson is a 1 yr old absolutely EXQUISITE GSD who came into the rescue in September 2015 after being surrendered to the shelter by his owner at approx eight months old. He was very frightened and clearly lacked social skills and exposure to the world so he went into foster within a couple of days. His foster home has worked hard with him on getting him out in social situations and building his confidence and obedience. Stetson is now up for adoption with a very specific home in mind. Stetson will not be adopted into a home with kids small dogs or cats. Since Stetson will need the new owner to devote time to his continued socialization we would prefer he be the only dog. Stetson is a very big dog (90 pounds) so only a handler who has the physical capabilities of handling a dog that size will be considered and previous GSD handling experience required. Stetson should NOT be considered as a potential service dog but will be a good companion for the right owner....
