Sammy is a stunning young Lab Retriever. She is approx 2yrs old spayed vaccinated and heartworm negative. She is house broken loves kids and is very good with other dogs. She knows how to sit when it s time for dinner and seems to be a quick learner (and loves to get treats for good behavior ). She is also gentle when she takes treats.Sammy was picked up by animal control because she was running loose and no 1 ever came to find her. At that time she was suffering from what we believe to be a flea allergy - she had red spots all over and she had scratched her neck and face raw. With antibiotics and a flea bath this has quickly cleared up but it will be a few months before all of her fur grows back - she had to be shaved to facilitate the healing process. Good thing it s summer She doesn t seem to mind her lack of fur. Her new family will need to be diligent about flea prevention to avoid this type of thing in the future. Fortunately no fleas is something that is good for everyone ...
