Frankie is a Pit Bull Terrier-mix female 2 years of age. What a wonderful family companion Frankie will be This highly affectionate devoted young girl is all about being the much loved always included furry family member .could the word pet have been coined just for her Calm with a serene demeanor yet playful and fun-loving too Frankie is the best of both worlds quiet and composed indoors light-hearted and frisky outdoors .she will be your cuddler-extraordinaire on the couch and cool side-kick looking to hang out alongside you anywhere she is able to. Intelligent and attentive novelty is important for a bright dog like Frankie she ll love chances to meet new people and master new activities and situations. These on-going socialization experiences will serve to reinforce her poised sweet calm disposition and give her enjoyment as well as needed mental stimulation. Frankie will gladly fall in line behind a firm consistent leader who sets the rules and boundaries right from the start. She learns quickly and easily and is eager to do that which is asked of her she also responds well to direction from her handler when on a leash. Like all dogs she needs regular physical activity and mental stimulation to be at her healthiest and happiest. Frankie loves the outdoors regular leashed walks shared playtime solo romps in a secure area and adventurous outings alongside her beloved family members should meet her exercise needs. You ll have a hard time finding a more sweetly affectionate fawningly devoted and just-plain-fun canine than Frankie Frankie is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a moderately-active lifestyle. As with all dogs a meet-n-greet with any housemate dogs will be necessary to determine compatibility prior to adoption. Direct interaction with cats is unknown and cannot be fully assessed at the shelter at this time. Come meet Frankie at Monroe County Animal Control located at 911 S. Raisinville Rd Monroe MI (just south of the fairgrounds). Kennel hours are Tuesday - Friday 11 00 am - 3 30 pm Saturday 11 00 am - 2 30 pm closed Sunday Monday and National Holidays. Monroe SPCA also offers microchips for dogs and cats adopted from Monroe County Animal Control for a fee of 15.00 at the time of adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. Microchips are registered to Monroe SPCA with adopters adding new owner information after adoption. If the dog is ever lost and slips his or her collar and tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact when the dog is scanned for a microchip. Even if you cannot adopt at this time please consider making a donation to Monroe SPCA so we may continue saving protecting and improving the lives of homeless animals in Monroe County. In addition to providing emergency medical treatment to animals who need it Monroe SPCA now provides every dog at Monroe County Animal Control with basic preventative health care which includes flea preventative deworming(s) DHPP vaccine and booster and Heartworm Testing. If a dog tests positive for Heartworm Monroe SPCA also provides that dog with Heartworm treatment. Dogs adoptable through Monroe County Animal Control have no adoption fee at this time (adopter s pay a 10.00 application fee and 25.00 sterilization deposit payable to the County of Monroe) this Monroe SPCA Operational Support Program at Monroe County Animal Control is funded solely by monetary donations. We do not receive government funding and we are not affiliated with or funded by Monroe County Animal Control the HSUS the ASPCA or any other humane organization.
